This is the time of the year when we all feel good and happy..

So we want to wish to everybody a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Before the end of the year we are going to give you guys a special gift from Ginny that we all hope you'll enjoy! But for now… it's a secret…..

We wanted to thank you again for your precious support on every social network we have! INSTAGRAM get crazy in the last few days!! 

But this isn't enough. We want to see more "sharing", more "likes" and more "comments" with your opinions, ideas, suggestions … because remember, GINNY is a Star Made By YOU - and YOU can really make her famous and exactly how you would like a Star!

This is the most incredible social experiment ever, and you have the possibility to be part of it! The only thing you have to do is:

Any part of a "success" on a Social Experiment is in the people that support you.

Join this Social Experiment you get a chance to be part of very unusual web experiment - and get in on the ground floor. This is just the third week and we have already seen a great deal of interest on the social media platforms (and we have only just started).

We have got already more then 2.000 "likes" on the Facebook Page

The most loyal followers and supporters will become part of Ginny' inner circle of supporters - with special invites, special gifts, free tickets, updates prior to anyone else, and much deeper involvement in the project - having much more of a say.

What's in a BRAND

Any part of a twenty-first century star is the BRAND

And over the next few months we will be working on the official AStarMadeByYOU Brand for "Ginny Vee"

Of course we have lots of ideas - "The Sexy Look" "The Diva look" "The rock look" "The Punk look" "The Britney Look" (hmmm) "The Dark Look"

But it's not for US to decide - it is actually for YOU to decide. Based on that "Look" we will start to create the BRAND for Ginny Vee- the image, the colors, the clothing, the logos and all the exciting stuff that goes into making a brand. And of course there will be the merchandising - which we will create around that BRAND.

What we are looking for is IDEAS - YOUR ideas! On what kind of look, feel and style Ginny Should have. On the FACEBOOK profile we have already started to ask your opinion - on hair styles. So why not pop over and vote by comment.

But over the coming months we will be seeking input from YOU on all aspects of Ginny Vee - and why not - after all she is YOUR star made by YOU. So get involved.

Our most frequent "helpers" followers and fans will of course be getting FREE merchandising when it comes out - Exclusive items that only the top few contributors will get. So it's worth your while.

We will also be recruiting sponsors that will support the Ginny Vee Brand - so look our for promotions by them that you can win!

Inspiration from Liverpool

Today Ginny has landed in the legendary city of LIVERPOOL - home of one of the greatest rock bands in history - The Beatles. Liverpool is home to one of the most recognized sounds in music - the Mersey beat sound.

In recognition of Ginny's visit to Liverpool, she will be giving a personal shout out to any twitter followers that hashtag #astarmadebyyou followed by the hashtag #liverpool

Working on the new website

Website is on its way

As part of any social media campaign we are creating Ginny Vee's "A Star Made by YOU" website.
Ginny has been personally working on the design. But she needs YOUR help.

This will be one of the key information portals as we start to get the campaign in full swing. With information on the profile of Ginny, new projects we will work on with her, events, concerts and a whole host of information.

What we want from YOU is for you to keep sharing the twitter feeds, the Vine feeds, the Instagram feeds - connect on Facebook and keep sharing the hashtag #astarmadebyyou.
It's very early days - but already we are getting a few thousand followers behind the project - but to get to the tipping point we want MORE.

The first people to send us ideas for the website to astarmadebyyou@gmail.com will get a personal shout out by Ginny on various feeds including the blog and website - so be sure to include your @name.

As Star needs a strong work ethic

To be a star may seem like an easy ride - a quick ticket - a piece if luck - 

But that could not be further from the truth. It's about hard work seven days a week!! And for Our Star Made By YOU - Ginny Vee - that is no different. So today - instead of a day of "rest" she is working hard on some of her possible new songs.

Over the next few months we need to come up with five new songs - that represent the style of Ginny Vee - and we are asking for some help. We'd like to know what you think makes a first release song - do you feel artists should release Ballads or more upbeat songs when they first appear. What grabs YOUR attention? What do YOU listen to?

Today we are having our first ever Twitter Day - and our first round of collecting twitter followers.

We think Twitter is one of the key ways we can drive a social media star - but it all comes from volume of followers and retweets. We want to start to get the hash tag #astarmadebyyou up the list. This may not happen today - but we think if we have enough twitter days and get enough retweets we can start to make this happen.

As part of Ginny Vee's social media campaign we have set up VINE, Facebook, Google +, Youtube and a whole host of social media sites. We firmly believe that if enough people can get behind the project you can propel someone from obscurity to stardom just by sheer will power. It is very early days and we expect this to be a long project until we hit the tipping point.

But YOU can make a massive difference! YOUR actions - Your links - your shares are what will make this project win or fail - and Ginny is asking your help now. The more people you can get involved - the faster this happens.

In Search of A Studio

Last night at the music studio

Last night we took Ginny Vee to a new music studio that is on the list of possibles to collaborate on her rise to Stardom. 

The studio is open to collaborate in this exciting Project - BUT we need you help. Here and on our Facebook Page we need to know what is the kind of music that you think might suit Ginny Vee. We need to start to craft a look and a sound that we will use in the project. On the Facebook page we have a range of images in different styles.

What jumps out?

What music does she suit?

From YOUR inputs to YOUR star we will start to work with songwriters and music producers to get some early demos out.

FaceBook -- Get Linking

Today we launched the official Facebook Page

One of the key social media sites for building a "new star" is without doubt Facebook. Today we put up the first pages and started to send out our friend requests. 

Well - the site was overwhelmed with friend requests from all over the world - So thank you for your immediate support.

BUT at 3:15 pm Rome time today the page went into tilt and blocked due to the large number of friend requests - But we got it up again thanks to the folks at Facebook.

What now?

Well getting the Facebook page up is the start. We now need YOUR help to build content, get comments likes and above all SPREAD THE WORD. Place as many links as possible on walls - like - and share.

The more people we get doing this and getting their friends - the faster we build momentum.

THEN we need ideas for content - WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SEE?

Write on the wall what you want your STAR to add as content - Videos? Photos? etc

Just let us know how we can make the most of this Facebook page and we will take all ideas!

Task Number 1:

We need to get people involved...

If we want to build our "Star" then one of the first things we need to do is to get a ground-swell of active people. But with so much noise out on the internet - it's hard to get mind share through simple advertising.

One of the most powerful tools early on in any campaign is to get "word of mouth" - by referring the information to others. With social media that can come in several formats and is easy enough to do.

However - link bombing is successful about half the time - as some people want to know a bit more before they bother to add a link - to click a link - to go visit a site. Sometimes it requires a small explanation of the situation. So an alternative is to post to your social media site some explanatory text like this:

HEY! I'm getting involved with a great new project - it may or may not work, but it's worth a shot. I'm part of a group that is going to artificially create a new media "Star" just through the power of social media. The project has just started and could be fun... why not come take a look and help out.

Or you can use the words that best suit your style of communication with your friends.

You can post to social media or even email some select friends that you think might want to get involved.

So Task Number 1:

Post the link to at least 3 social media sites today

Then email 10 close friends that you think might want to be in on it.

So in this intense crazy media filled world - what are the factors that make a "star"

What makes a "phenomenon"
In the past that power was owned by media corporations - record labels - publishing houses. But the world has changed radically in the past 10 years and the internet has become the determining factor in who becomes the next "star".

Twitter, Facebook, Google+, YouTube - all powered the social information revolution. In an instant information spreads like wildfire and from "zero to hero" can happen overnight.

This has put the POWER directly into the hands of INDIVIDUALS - just like YOU

Well this is not YOU - this is Miley Cyrus - and unless you've been sleeping under a rock for the past year you will know exactly the power of the media and more importantly the manipulation of the media to take this "character" and launch her into the number 1 Google search term for stars.

Much of this has been driven by the initial Tweet wave after the infamous MTV awards - but millions of tweets and re-tweets added up to make a overnight sensation. The power of the people.

From nowhere  through the power of the media

Love them or hate them - One Direction  - you can't ignore that this group of guys was blasted from obscurity to superstardom through the X-Factor program. But that was just the beginning - it was the social media, and the hard core fan base that have made them the world biggest pop group!

Are you getting it yet? - It is YOU that can do this.

Do Nothing - or change a life - YOU decide

So here we come to the core of this project. What it is all about. We have a basic "Product" called Ginny Vee - that has a ton of potential. She can sing, act and dance. She looks great and she is willing to be propelled into the spotlight (and that's not for all of us!)

Her rise to fame and the building of the Ginny Vee Brand (we will get to all that good stuff later) will be built by CROWD voting - and CROWD promotion - and that means YOU.

We already have some early draft for songs, videos and imagery for Ginny -- but that does not mean it will go in that direction - or take that path. The idea is for the "crowd" to own Ginny and give input directly to us via voting, comments email and a whole host of interactions to "have your say" in where we take Ginny. 

How often in your life do YOU get to actually make a star?

How does it happen?

This blog will be the core for information and requests to the "Fan" base that you can decide to become part of. You don't even have to really like the product - but you can still help to demonstrate the power of social media - and have some fun as you go.

We will post links and videos and requests to the fan base. And YOU will help us to drive the direction - make the decisions and determine the future of Ginny - yep you own a piece of her.

We will need you promote- promote and promote some more EVERYTHING that Ginny puts out there. Her success will come via social media push and pull. From people posting and reposting links across social media. It will come as a series of  TASKS that will help to drive the social buzz - a coordinated push on the social media. It's that easy!

The more people we get involved - and the faster we do it - the bigger the social media hype grows and then it starts to spiral.

What will happen?

We have no idea - it could be a huge success - a marginal "yeah whatever" or a massive success that will be talked about for years across the social media - but it all depends if YOU can be bothered to do your part.

If you do nothing - just walk away saying "Nah - another bullshit thing" - then fine - and we thank you for your time.

BUT - if you start by posting a few links to this blog on your social media - then tut's how we start. Get your friends here to come and help this social experiment. You never know it could be cool to build a star!!!

Welcome to this rather ambitious social experiment.

We are going to use the power of the internet to actually make a star and promote her to the world - just to show that social media, the internet and word of mouth are the most powerful tools today when it comes to media manipulation.

YOU - are in control and YOU will determine how we build this "new phenomenon".
(well not quite yet and it all depends on you).

So who is Ginny Vee?

Ginny is an Italian actress, singer and dancer that has had some limited success in Italy. But she has never made it big time, and is open to a very interesting new challenge.

Why have we selected her?

First and for most this is a huge risk for any artist. To have your image, direction, success determined by a manager or agent is one thing - as you have some (not much) control over what happens. However, agreeing to have your direction and "stardom" placed firmly into the hands of the public is quite a daunting risk - and well Ginny has the guts to try this social experiment with us.

We sought out hundreds of artists across Europe and very few agreed to do this experiment.

(So at least give her massive credit for having the guts to do this!)

We selected Ginny as she is in the right "Cross over" age where she can appeal to younger and older audiences (as we don't know who is going to gravitate towards her or the direction she will go).

Sexy - yes sex sells - just look at Miley Cyrus - this is a classic understanding that to a degree sex sells. So we have absolutely selected a "character" that is very sexy - and appealing. (We make no bones about it).

Talented - Sex sells to a degree but there must be talent behind it. We can't take a doll and just parade her around. And Ginny has a lot of talent - she is an accomplished singer that has done professional singing in Italy, and a recognized actress. She recently won the first prize for a web series "Revolution Club". 

Unknown - But it is hard to find a talented professional - that is also unknown enough to be willing to participate in such a crazy experiment.

Neutral Image - One of the keys for us selecting Ginny was to find a girl that is flexible in being able to create a variety of images. Ginny is Italian, speaks fluent English - but her ethnicity does not scream one type or another. She could be from UK, or Germany, or Spain - and for us this was vital as we want YOU to help determine her direction and for that she needs to be "neutral".

In the end we have selected someone to approach this project with the right attitude - and that will be vital in this long term project.
